Announcements

Announcements include new information from CFNAP that stakeholders may find useful.

  • One of the most confusing and controversial nutrition and food safety topics has been the consumption of fish and shellfish.  This study analyzes the demographics, knowledge, concerns, and understanding that affect fish and shellfish consumption among U.S. consumers.  Our proprietary survey asked consumers about their frequency of fish and shellfish consumption, knowledge of health benefits and risks, level of concern about mercury contamination, knowledge of fish and shellfish containing higher and lower levels of mercury, and any sub-populations that should be particularly concerned about fish and shellfish consumption.  Please click here to access the order form.
  • Members of the CFNAP faculty and the University of California - Riverside submitted comments to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on the agency's risk assessment on animal cloning.  Please click here to read the comments.
